Mom back to Shelton, Andre to Centralia, and Lisa and Katie home to Federal Way...and finally, as the sun went down, it was THE END to another great weekend at Peb....

It was a beautiful weekend but after the swimming we had to pack up to go home..

It feels really nice once you get used to it....

The final plunge!

Almost there..

Its always a shock when it hits the tummy...

Getting there..another step in...

Well..it might be colder than it looked......

Water doesn't feel TOO cold....

After dinner more swimming....here is the complete series...heehee

Looks like dinner was good....not much left over.

Fresh strawberries for dessert..yummm

Another wholesome dinner..

Once again the refrain...."beef, its what's for dinner".....here, flank steak on the grill.

I have a new favorite drink..Vanilla Skyy Vodka and Hansen's Diet Root Beer..tastes like a root beer float!

We got more fresh local strawberries at Hunter's...

Not sure what Andre was looking at....an oyster maybe?

This looks summery...

The old sickly rose has been removed, and a new clematis planted.

Ruth relaxing, one shoe off...

Andre with a piece of driftwood he found on the beach and stuck in the gravel so it was standing up. It stayed upright for at least an hour.

After the canoe ride, Katie and Andre went swimming. The water was really warm..for Hood Canal. They actually walked right in!

After lunch Katie and Andre went out in the canoe.

After returning to Peb from Hunter's, I called Mom in Shelton and persuaded her to come to Peb for the afternoon. When I got to Alpine in 15 minutes she was waiting outside. Mom had already had lunch but by the time I got back to Peb everyone else was ready to eat.

They have an emu, too!

More of the piglets with one of two moms who were in the pen.

They have a few animals at Hunter's too. Here's three of the 7 piglets.

Another greenhouse. I got a few more plants for Peb.

The plan for Sunday morning after breakfast was to go down the road a few miles to Hunter's Farms, in the Skokomish River Valley. This started as a fruit stand and has grown into quite a business over the course of 40 years or so. Heres one of the greenhouses.

Katie and Andre were long asleep by the time the neighbors started the fireworks show....too bad, it was a good display.

Katie and Andre are sort of watching the sun go down.

Another gorgeous sunset, Hood Canal style.

Andre is a vegetarian. Here he is putting some pickles on his vege-burger..

Looks like another tasty Weight Watchers style meal!

Katie's friend Andre arrived mid-afternoon. They enjoyed a walk on the beach before dinner.

Here is Megan. The twins will be two in September.

Here's Katie with Sarah..

Katie did a great job of watching to make sure Megan and Sarah did not get in the paint.

Before the paint was dry, brother John showed up with his twin daughters and with Mom. Only Mom got paint on herself.

Other side of the house, wicker chairs being spray painted....

Painting in a bathing suit means fewer clothes to slop paint on...

First job.. take the picnic table and benches off the patio and start painting. Yes, Dad..painting in the sun..

July 1st, back at Peb again. The sun is still shining and the mountains have a little less snow on them than they did last week! Katie is along again this week but Laura had made other plans.

We will be back July 1-2 to bring back clean linens, paint the picnic table and the wicker chairs, mend the hose, mow the lawn and bring new potholders to replace the ones the mice ate. And to water..water..water.. This is the END of the blog..blogs always start at the BOTTOM and work up..

Everything back in its place, nice and clean.

Rhodedendrons watered ...

Buckets put away...

Mountains on Sunday morning. Its going to be 91 degrees today...I hate to leave.
